Justine Swindell is a DC native illustrator and designer. Her minimal/bold style fuses gritty nostalgia with playful pop art. Her subject matter often tells visual stories of city life, cultural identity, and social change.
Justine studied Visual and Graphic Design at Lynn University and later obtained an MA in Sociology from Catholic University (CUA). Her career over the past 15 years has been a parallel and alternating practice of Design and Public Health. Both practices are driven by a passion for improving representation of people of color and the well being of marginalized groups in society.
